Plant, shrub and tree transplanting
Super Water Gel SWG -2 can be efficiently applied in planting holes for shrubs and trees. The rate of application varies from 1 to 2 kg /M3 of backfill according to the sand content of the soil. SWG-2 may be hydrated before adding. Find here-under the details to proceed a successful plantation : Dig a hole about three times the volume of the roots. Then estimate approximately the volume of the hole (Length x large x Depth) in litres or cubic meters According to the volume, mix 1 to 2 kg of SWG -2 per cubic metre of backfill. The rate of application' depends on the sand content of the soil. The higher the sand content, the higher the rate of SWG -2 The polymer needs to be mixed evenly with the backfill. Put apart some untreated backfill. The top 5 cm of backfill shouldn't be amended with polymer to avoid UV deterioration and water logging on the surface Put the tree in an up-right position and replace the backfill progressively into the hole. Make sure the product is evenly distributed all around the roots. Finally cover the top surface with 5 cm of untreated backfill. If plantation is done during a dry spell or under irrigation, the planting hole will be watered liberally for 2 weeks to allow a full water absorption of SWG -2 . Then watering will be divided by half. If plantation is done under rainfed conditions, SWG -2 will retain large quantities of water and then will release it progressively. Nevertheless, it is recommended to water the planting hole liberally for one week to allow an immediate action of the polymer. In that case planting of trees and shrubs is made possible in extreme climate conditions.

Root dipping & Seedlings
Root dipping is a technique to protect roots before planting against water stress or to transport bare-root plants on long distance. The technique consists in dipping the roots in a slurry prepared with a fine-textured per Water Gel SWG -2 and water. A water-soluble nematicide and/or fungicide can also be added to the slurry to protect roots against nematode and fungus attacks. To prepare the slurry mix 1 kg of Water Gel SWG -2 per 150-300 litres of water. Let the product stand for at least 15 minutes. Adjust the slurry to the thickness that adheres to the roots. When mixing the fine polymer in water, maker is poured in slowly and that the water is stirred. The longer -the gel is allowed to stand, the tackier it will become and the better it will adhere to the roots. Finally dip the plant / tree roots into the slurry immediately before planting or transport

Turf and Sodding
Super Water Gel SWG -2 can be of assistance throughout the growth cycle of grasses and sods, especially in germination, quicker growth, reduction of transportation stress, and root establishment. The collection and storage of rain and irrigation water can reduce labors and water costs, as well as provide relief for difficult growth areas and « hot spots ». This application is great for golf courses, and public and private gardens ! ! Find here-under details to proceed a successful plantation Work the soil either by hand or with a plough. Spread up to 100 g/m2 of Super Water Gel SWG -2 on the top of ground area. The rate of application' must be adjusted according to climate and soil conditions but also to plant water requirements. The polymer can be broadcast by hand or with fertilizers distributor for even disbursement. Incorporate the polymer into the soil under 5 cm of untreated soil and at a depth of 10 cm maximum. Incorporation can be done either by hand with a spade, or mechanically with a disc-plough or a rotovator. The soil must be leveled evenly. Broadcast the grass seeds or lay down the sod rolls. Then roll the soil for compaction. Spread fertilizers if recommended. Water the field liberally to allow a full absorption of the product. The planted ground area will be watered normally for one week. Then irrigation frequency will be divided by half with the same amount of water as previously.
